In this role you will help deliver high-quality web applications in a cross-functional DevOps setup, focusing on QA and test automation. You’ll define risk-based testing, build automated tests, and ensure quality across multiple applications while collaborating with product owners, designers, and developers. The position supports BASF Coatings services and emphasizes a structured QA process in a global context. • Support the product lifecycle from concept to go-live with a strong focus on quality assurance and test automation
• Define risk-based test approaches and design automated testing solutions
• Create meaningful, risk-based test coverage by mapping business processes and user flows
• Collaborate with software developers to validate features, identify defects early, and improve testability
• Design, build, and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, and integration scenarios and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
• Use QA tools and frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI) to test web apps and APIs
• Align with product owners, designers, and developers on acceptance criteria and quality expectations
• Document test approaches, test cases,



and results to support transparency and continuous improvement
• Support a reliable automated QA process by reviewing results and aiding issue resolution with an international QA team
Responsabilidades
• 3+ years of professional QA or quality engineering experience
• Experience creating and maintaining test plans, cases, and reports
• Experience testing web apps and APIs; cloud exposure a plus
• Hands-on with at least one automated testing framework (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Cucumber/Gherkin)
• Experience with API/functional testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for test automation (JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python)
• Familiarity with service-oriented xqbhyrx or microservice architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checks
• Experience across multiple applications/projects and prioritizing testing in dynamic environments
• Structured, analytical, collaborative work style with strong problem-solving and self-organization
• Strong written and spoken communication in Spanish and English
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
