MAXAM is looking for a Corporate Technical Buyer – Indirect Procurement to join its team in Madrid. The role will focus on purchasing different manterials and components needed for the devolpment of the company.

This position is ideal for a proactive professional with procurement experience who enjoys working in an industrial and international environment.

Key Responsibilities

-

- Collaborate closely with the Operations, Engineering and R&D; teams to understand and translate technical specifications into procurement requirements.

- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process of equipment , capital goods (CAPEX), components, spare parts and specialized services for MAXAM’s plants worldwide , ensuring compliance with procurement policies and alignment with operational needs.

- Lead RFI/RFP/RFQs , analyze supplier proposals, and drive cost-effective sourcing decisions.

- Oversee the procurement of spare parts for both plant equipment and MMUs, ensuring availability and operational continuity.

- Develop and implement cost optimization strategies , including:

- Spend analysis across fiscal periods





- Contract negotiations and optimization

- Stock agreements

- Maintain strong coordination with internal stakeholders across functions and geographies.

- Travel frequently (20-40% ) to production plants (Spain and internationally) and supplier facilities.

Requirements

-

- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field , with the technical aptitude to understand specifications and industrial processes.

- 2 – 5 years proven experience in iprocurement, sourcing or technical buying in an industrial or civil works environments.

- Strong analytical and negotiation skills .

- Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment .

- High level of English proficiency (C1) & Spanish; other languages will be a plus.

- Availability and willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis.
