The Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III (F.S.P.) CNIC, a leading cardiovascular research centre located in Madrid, is inviting applications for a Ph.D. research position focused on regenerative therapies to enhance cardiomyocyte engraftment in an injured heart.

Responsibilities

-

- Receive training in engineering regenerative therapies to improve cardiomyocyte engraftment.

- Culture induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells and conduct experimental model work.

- Apply molecular biology, microscopy, and data analysis techniques.

Mandatory Requirements

-

- Ph.D. in life sciences.

- At least one first-author publication in cardiovascular research.

- Accreditation for functions A, B, and C in experimental models.

Desirable Requirements

-

- Experience with cardiovascular techniques in experimental models, including echocardiography and ECG.

- Experience with gene therapy studies, including adeno-associated viruses.





- Experience in human pluripotent stem cell culture and cardiac differentiation from induced pluripotent stem cells.

- Experience with fluorescence microscopy and image analysis.

- International experience and first-author scientific contributions, fellowships, and awards.

- Interview conducted in English.
