As an Indirect Tax Associate in Madrid, you join Au0026amp;M Tax to support VAT and other indirect tax matters for a diverse client base. You will work with senior leaders on Mu0026amp;A and cross-border VAT projects, shaping practical tax positions and efficient structures. The role blends advisory work with client engagement, budget oversight, and use of technology to deliver results. This is a growth-focused opportunity within a collaborative, entrepreneurial team that values integrity and impact.
Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Support VAT advisory projects for Senior Directors/Managing Directors, including Mu0026A, due diligence and deal structuring
• Contribute to pan-European VAT and international supply chain engagements
• Prepare practical VAT analyses using legislation and case law for a shared client portfolio
• Advise on VAT aspects of transactions and day-to-day management
• Participate in complex engagements to strengthen clients' VAT positions, including disclosures, audits, and appeals




• Advise on other indirect taxes (Transfer Tax, Stamp Duty, local taxes) and customs duties
• Draft and check work for accuracy; develop technical and commercial insight
• Help manage engagements, budgets and billing; maintain day-to-day client contact
• Leverage technology tools and AI to support efficiency
• Adapt to a dynamic, time-sensitive environment
Responsabilidades
• 3-5 years of indirect tax experience in Big4 or Big Law
• Strong writing, analytical, research and organizational skills
• Strong communication, presentation, xqbhyrx project management and business development skills
• Preferably member of BAR in Spain
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Entrepreneurial, action-oriented and hands-on; able to work in the Spanish market and build internal/client relationships
