In this role you will provide day-to-day EHS support across wind farm sites and service operations, serving as the first point of contact for field service engineers. You will ensure legal compliance, oversee site procedures, emergency planning, and incident management, while driving continuous safety improvements. You will collaborate with site managers, contractors, and regulators to sustain a Zero Harm culture and align local practices with GE Vernova standards. This is an opportunity to shape safety programs across multiple sites and regions, leveraging risk assessments and training to reduce injuries and incidents.

• Interpret laws, regulations and procedures across local and national EHS standards
• Prepare and review EHS documentation and assess processes for safety implications
• Ensure customer EHS requirements are followed for access to customer sites
• Update and implement site procedures and region/local regulation alignment
• Manage Emergency Plans, drills, equipment, and training
• Train personnel on laws, regulations and risk mitigation; advocate for safety improvements
• Support EHS programs implementation with Site Manager
• Conduct quarterly emergency drills and site inspections within scope
• Verify compliance of products, equipment, and tools with internal standards
• Provide on-site EHS assessments during major operations
• Lead or participate in audits (work plans, regulatory compliance, inspections)
• Manage regulatory agency site inspections and EHS documentation retention
• Oversee PPE management for staff and visitors
• Support contractor mobilization and MCE/Blades teams with up-to-date requirements
• Ensure GE Vernova applications (Gensuite, Comply Works, SGS) are implemented
• Prepare and review EHS reporting, ensuring proper responsibilities, deadlines and closure
• Represent GE Vernova in local EHS groups and regional communities
• Maintain alignment with laws, regulations and GE Vernova EHS strategy
• Promote Zero Harm culture and proactive risk management
• Identify trends, advise preventive actions, and lead incident investigations
• Coordinate incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
• Assess work-related injuries and documentability
• Update Gensuite data accuracy and drive safety initiatives
• Collaborate on yearly training plans and equipment guarding standards
• Engage with stakeholders to drive safety improvements across sites
• Provide coaching and training to site managers and leaders on EHS strategy
• Participate in regional decision-making and support region EHS objectives
• Communicate EHS metrics and progress to management
• Lead periodical EHS meetings and share best practices
• Echo and deploy xqbhyrx integral/regional EHS plans locally
• Support local initiatives for safer tools and machinery
• Follow up with field technicians biweekly to monitor safety actions
• Travel up to 50%
• Maintain a valid driving license
Responsabilidades
• Technical EHS background (electricity, mechanical)
• Master’s level EHS qualification or equivalent (Técnico Superior PRL and related)
• Physical fitness to climb wind turbines
• Strong knowledge of local and regional regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based tools
• EHS technical expertise in risk assessment, audits, regulatory compliance, incident management and RC analysis
• Soft skills: influence, communication, resilience, conflict management, leadership
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• 5 years of wind field operations or EHS experience
• Availability to travel 50% of time
• Valid driving license
