In this Principal Engineer role, you’ll own and shape the Electrical Wind Systems for new turbine designs and fleet support, aligning with GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind goals. You will guide cross-functional teams through validation, risk assessment, and root-cause investigations to ensure safety, quality, and performance. You’ll lead the development of an Electrical System Design Practice and drive engineering excellence across the subsystem team. This position offers impact on product introduction, standards, and technology leadership in wind energy.

• Initiate and own development/test plans across supplier, lab, prototype, and customer sites and ensure insights feed product and process improvements
• Provide technical consultation for risk assessments, investigations, root-cause analysis, and safety improvements in manufacturing and field
• Guide the electrical subsystem engineering team with design changes and integration requirements for new and existing electrical systems
• Own the Wind Turbine Electrical System Design Practice (DP) and ensure alignment with Renewable Energy Engineering processes




• Support early design involvement in Hierarchy of Controls for Electrical System and review electrical system requirements and architecture
• Identify and implement root-cause and corrective actions for electrical system incidents
• Lead Renewable Energy efforts to connect Onshore Wind with industry best practices and standards
• Drive engineering excellence, standardization, and process productivity within the subsystem team
• Contribute to business metrics, process simplification, and protection of intellectual property and export-controlled information
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• Proven wind turbine electrical and regulation xqbhyrx system knowledge
• Strategic thinker with vision and leadership experience
• Ability to lead cross-functional and integral teams
• Strong safety mindset and track record of safe working practices
• Expert in electrical system design and turbine-level integration with multiple NPI and Services programs
• Experience with analysis and simulation platforms (e.g., Easypower)
• System thinking to assess tradeoffs, risk, and optimization
• Extensive experience in electrical systems and subsystems and/or multiple electrical components design
