You will shape and scale Ebury’s main web application as a senior backend-focused engineer. You’ll own API services end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive reliable, observable systems. The role blends platform evolution with enabling product teams to ship features efficiently. You’ll work in a hybrid Madrid setup and contribute to a culture of learning, accountability, and innovation.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Develop and evolve platform channels and services in collaboration with the team
• Design new services using RFC processes and own the lifecycle from development to maintenance
• Containerize services and implement monitoring and alerting for reliability
• Write testable code with unit and integration tests; contribute to CI/CD and IaC deployments
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration




• Be prepared for on-call duty when required
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proficient in Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS
• Experience with IAM frameworks and tools like Keycloak
• Strong knowledge xqbhyrx of system architecture, API design, and building scalable services
• Linux fundamentals and cloud infrastructure knowledge
• Git proficiency
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills
