In this Technical Lead role, you act as the technical authority for an end-to-end LEO QKD system, uniting space, ground, and user segments under ECSS. You steer requirements, architecture, and validation to ensure coherent, secure space communications. You will shape the mission’s technical backbone, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and reduce integration risk. This position offers impact at the mission level and alignment with evolving secure-space networks.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead system engineering activities for the complete LEO QKD system design
• Ensure technical consistency across space, ground, and user segments
• Define and maintain end-to-end system architecture and product tree
• Lead requirements engineering and consolidate mission and subsystem requirements
• Coordinate preliminary cybersecurity requirements across all segments
• Design Ground Control Segment subsystems and integrate the Quantum Uplink Node
• Contribute to Mission Simulator design
• Define and supervise IVV plans at system and subsystem levels
• Oversee verification documentation and test plan development
• Ensure traceability between requirements, design,



simulations, and tests
• Define and evolve the end-to-end operational concept (CONOPS)
• Oversee key management processes and mission planning across space and ground segments
• Act as cross-functional technical authority within an international consortium
• Manage system interfaces and perform global technical trade-offs
Responsabilidades
• 10+ years in Systems Engineering for space missions or complex systems
• Experience leading requirements and IVV in multi-stakeholder environments
• Background in mission control systems design and operations planning
• Experience in optical communications, xqbhyrx satcom, or secure systems
• Previous participation in international consortia (industry, agencies, research institutions)
• Expertise in ECSS standards and methodologies (New Space context preferred)
• LEO mission design and analysis experience
• Strong understanding of end-to-end space system architectures
• Knowledge of Mission Control Systems (MCS) and mission planning
• IVV and requirements management with traceability tools
• Cybersecurity understanding for space/communications systems
• Security-by-design principles and QKD-related security concepts
