In this Staff role, you own and shape the low-level systems powering scientific workloads in the cloud. You’ll drive the Fusion, Fusion Snapshots, Ignite, and Sched stack, collaborating across multi-cloud environments to enable reliable, high-performance compute for researchers. You’ll influence architectural direction, raise testing and observability standards, and mentor teammates, all within Seqera’s mission to accelerate science with open software.
Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Design, build, and own low-level systems across Fusion, Fusion Snapshots, Ignite, and Sched
• Write reliable, well-tested code primarily in Go and C
• Work close to the OS: FUSE filesystems, Linux namespaces, CRIU, process supervision, signal handling
• Tackle multi-cloud orchestration and scheduling (AWS, Azure, GCP), autoscaling, spot-instance fault tolerance
• Drive performance engineering (chunked I/O, caching, buffer pools,



bandwidth management)
• Set technical direction and raise standards for testing, observability, and operational excellence
• Mentor teammates and help onboard new engineers
Responsabilidades
• Deep experience building production-grade systems software with technical ownership at Staff level
• Strong in Go and comfortable in C/C++
• Solid Linux internals (filesystems, namespaces, processes, signals, networking) and debugging
• xqbhyrx Distributed and/or cloud-native systems experience across multiple clouds
• Write simple, well-structured, well-tested code with emphasis on clarity
• Comfortable with ambiguity and working independently
• Openness to using AI in daily work
