As a Train Control Engineer at Alstom in Barcelona, you will define the architecture and functional specifications for Train Control u0026amp; Information Systems, ensuring coherence across onboard subsystems. You’ll manage the TCMS deliverables from tender to warranty, driving quality and alignment with project commitments. You will lead design reviews and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, shaping the performance and reliability of rail systems. This role offers impact through cross-functional collaboration on mobility-grade solutions and continuous improvement.
Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Own TCMS deliverables: requirements, proofs, network and system architectures, software specifications, and functional schemes.
• Lead design reviews across project gates from tender through validation and certification, including end-of-warranty.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team on site and remotely; oversee TCIS resources (Control, System, and SW engineers).
• Monitor technical progress via KPIs and ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
• Report to the Project Engineering Manager and collaborate with Train System, Design, Electrical, Validation, RAMS,



and other stakeholders.
• Ensure quality across all project domains (functional schemes, architectures, electronics, train and HMI software).
Responsabilidades
• Engineering degree in electronics, computer engineering, or related field
• Rolling stock knowledge related to TCMS, onboard systems, functional and control design
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and product definitions
• Knowledge of software quality assurance and systems engineering principles
• Experience with IEC 61375, EN50128, EN5012, TCMS architectures and solution definition
• Hands-on experience with network protocols RS485, xqbhyrx MVB, WTB, CIP, TRDP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in work package and team management; requirements management
• Model-based control design experience using tools like Control Build, MATLAB/Simulink, Matrix
• Proactive communication, decision making, team-oriented mindset, proactive team building
• Fluent English
