As IoT Infrastructure Engineer at Vodafone IoT, you will help build and run the foundations of our Global Connectivity platform. You’ll work within the Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure Enablement team to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency at scale. You’ll deploy automation and IaC practices to accelerate platform evolution and support AI-enhanced operations. This role offers impact across a global, cross-functional environment and a clear path toward Vodafone’s leadership in IoT.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure and database assets to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and cost effectiveness
• Share expertise on cloud infrastructure and platforms to enable cloud adoption goals
• Design, build, deliver, maintain, and improve infrastructure solutions including automation strategies (IaC, Config-as-code, Policy-as-code) and CI/CD pipelines
• Support AI-driven operational and optimisation practices to improve efficiency and reduce incidents
• Own and optimise cloud and on-premises infrastructure, enhancing inventory visibility, resilience, and cost management
• Collaborate with IoT Platform Engineering, Product, Network, and Security teams for aligned delivery
• Manage supplier and partner relationships to secure needed support
Responsabilidades




• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
• Deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, scalable architectures, APIs, and microservices
• Familiar with cloud frameworks and architecture artifacts (e.g. Well-Architected)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform, Packer)
• Proven CI/CD and DevOps tooling experience (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab)
• Scripting skills (Python, shell) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes; EKS preferred)
• Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, peering, transit gateways, egress optimization)
• Experience implementing cloud security controls, encryption, key management
• Design for resilience (multi-AZ/multi-region, xqbhyrx backup/recovery) and incident response
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts relevant to infrastructure and operations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across distributed teams
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/Information Systems/related field or equivalent experience
• Five+ years in IT infrastructure and database management (on-prem and cloud)
• Equivalent hands-on experience operating large-scale production cloud platforms
