In this role you will provide strategic technical oversight and leadership for HV primary substation design (AIS/GIS) and delivery across transmission and distribution networks. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient solutions and liaising with clients and project directors. You will contribute to grid reinforcement, renewable integration, and large-scale infrastructure programs. • Provide technical oversight and guidance for HV primary system design (AIS/GIS) including layouts, busbar schemes and cable design
• Review design decisions, engineering strategies and equipment selection for standards and client specs
• Develop and review primary design deliverables (general arrangements, layouts, busbar configurations, calcs, clearances, insulation coordination, grounding)
• Act as senior technical authority coordinating primary, secondary, civil,



structural and commissioning disciplines
• Define engineering strategies, scopes, and delivery approaches for major projects
• Engage with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure technical alignment with objectives
• Provide senior engineering support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases
• Resolve complex site queries, deviations, and field design changes
• Mentor and develop teams of primary substation engineers
• Foster collaborative culture and ensure alignment and high xqbhyrx technical standards
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Typically 12-15+ years of HV primary substation engineering experience
• Proven leadership of engineering teams or technical disciplines
• Experience delivering large HV substation projects across concept to construction stages
