Senior Drainage Engineer at AECOM, based in Madrid, focusing on roadway and railway drainage design. You will apply hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and lead the end-to-end drainage design, from concept to final design, in a global delivery context. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, compliant solutions for complex transportation projects. This role offers the chance to work on iconic water and transport schemes within a diverse, multinational team.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Perform detailed drainage design for roadways and railways
• Conduct hydrologic/hydraulic analyses including culvert sizing and floodplain assessment
• Lead the conceptual and final drainage designs (culverts, storm drains, detention facilities, channels)
• Self-check work products and participate in QA reviews




• Support project managers with technical input, scheduling, and QC
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters
Responsabilidades
• 8+ years of experience in road or railway drainage designs
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Proficiency in hydraulics and hydrology software (e.g., Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, StormCAD, HEC-RAS/HMS)
• Advanced xqbhyrx CAD/BIM/Digital Engineering skills (Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer)
• Experience with international standards (e.g., AASTHO, AWWA, Australian Codes, British Standards)
• Experience in North America or Australia is advantageous
