As Fraud Prevention Manager at Preply, you will lead the Fraud Operations function to safeguard financial integrity and provide a trusted learning marketplace. You will shape strategy, drive performance, and align fraud risk priorities with business goals. You’ll translate on-the-ground observations into actionable requirements for Product and Data, shaping the detection roadmap at scale. This role offers the chance to influence risk governance in a fast-growing, integral platform that connects learners and tutors across 175 countries.

• Lead and develop a team of Fraud Specialists, establishing high-judgement, high-accountability performance culture
• Own the Fraud Operations roadmap and align objectives with wider business goals
• Formalise investigation standards, workflows, escalation protocols, and documentation
• Define and continuously improve fraud KPIs (chargeback rate, dispute SLAs, false positives, exposure)
• Establish governance cadence with Finance and senior leadership for risk and exposure reviews
• Act as bridge to Product and Data, translating day-to-day observations into requirements for detection roadmaps
• Correlate operational observations with data to identify gaps in detection models and drive action
• Partner with Product, Payments, and Finance to embed fraud risk into key decisions
• Oversee workforce planning and capacity management for operational resilience
• Present fraud performance, risk insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
• Drive process improvements through root cause analysis, policy adherence, and tooling evolution
Responsabilidades
• 6-8+ years in fraud operations, payments risk, or financial crime with people management experience
• Proven track record leading fraud or risk operations in marketplaces, fintech, or e-commerce
• Deep expertise in investigation methodology, chargeback management, and detection workflows
• Experience xqbhyrx owning operational KPIs and translating data into decisions
• Strong people leadership and talent development
• Ability to translate operational observations into clear Product/Data requirements
• Strong data fluency; bridging ground truth with analytical insights
• Designing scalable processes and governance; long-term applicability
• Understanding of AI/ML applications in fraud detection and collaboration with tech teams
