As a Senior Backend Developer on the Engine team, you will help build and optimize the Workato Recipe runtime across Ruby and Go. You will tackle performance, scaling, storage, durability, and concurrency to ensure reliable execution of jobs and events. You’ll work on DSL, webhooks processing, and integration with data stores and services, while reviewing code and driving quality. This role sits at the core of our runtime platform and offers impact through high-availability systems at scale. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teammates to explore and adopt new technologies, including Rust and Wasm, to keep our engine cutting-edge.

• Develop, extend, troubleshoot, and fix complex Ruby and Go applications and microservices as part of the Recipe runtime
• Improve execution engine for custom third-party code, focusing on isolation and performance




• Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle and perform code reviews
• Integrate various data storage solutions (Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, ClickHouse)
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve bugs, and propose system improvements
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation; explore new technologies like Rust and Wasm
Responsabilidades
• 5+ years building scalable distributed backend applications
• Strong understanding of web xqbhyrx app components: databases, load balancers, message brokers, caching, monitoring
• Solid knowledge of networking and DB technologies (relational and NoSQL)
• Multilingual programming experience with Ruby as primary and Go transitioning (or vice versa)
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; 7+ years of industry experience
