Experience and Technical Depth
- 5+ years as a full‑stack engineer or similar role.
- 3+ years leading engineering teams.

- Hands‑on experience with scalability, performance, and quality production systems.
Business Mindset
- Understand business context and translate technical decisions into customer value.
- Encourage deep problem understanding before committing to solutions.
- Engage stakeholders, ask hard questions, and challenge assumptions.

- Experience with AI‑powered features that reached production.
- Define behavior, success criteria, and safety measures before building AI systems.
- Measure output quality, ground systems in real data, and ensure auditability.
- Use AI‑assisted tools for coding, testing,
debugging, and documentation.
- Validate and ship AI‑generated code responsibly.
- Recognize limitations of LLM‑based systems: hallucinations, evaluation challenges, data sensitivity.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and rapid learning.
- Spot opportunities where AI can create real value.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Start with a buddy to get comfortable with the codebase.
- Learn the full customer journey and help draft the engineering roadmap.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss priorities and share ideas.
- Review RFCs, give constructive feedback, and champion the best execution paths.
- Hire new team members as the team grows, ensuring talent aligns with culture and values.
- Continuously improve team processes.
- Run weekly 1:1s focused on team development and well‑being.
- Collaborate with other engineering managers on cross‑team initiatives.
- Lead the shift toward AI‑native product development through example and guidance.
