In this role you will help keep AWS data centers running with 100% availability of mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems. You’ll work within the Data Center Engineering Operations team to support critical infrastructure, drive improvements, and deliver reliable service to internal teams. You’ll manage large, high-impact projects from concept to completion and collaborate with cross-functional groups to optimize costs and resiliency. This position offers a meaningful chance to influence safety, efficiency, and scalability across facilities.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Train and support Engineering team in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and operations
• Execute site- or equipment-specific training exercises (generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, AHUs, chillers)
• Oversee day-to-day mechanical and electrical equipment operation and maintenance
• Operate independently with limited direct management
• Assist in design and build-out of new facilities




• Act as escalation point for facilities-related issues in the data center region
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and produce weekly reports
• Troubleshoot and report facility- and data center-level events within SLAs
• Create and deploy standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor teams
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by vendors and AWS staff
• Work OT as needed to support site stability
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor xqbhyrx in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience in vendor management
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment
• Experience in data center engineering or operations
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
