Job Description Summary

The mission of the installation engineering team is to develop installation process and tools to achieve the industry’s safest, most efficient, and most economical installation of onshore wind turbines. The Lead Installation Engineer will be responsible for the technical development of installation capabilities and tools from start to finish: starting with defining the problem and empathy gathering, through design development, and finally to an on‑site field validation, resulting in a completed tool package that can be handed off to regional installation teams. The installation engineering team develops tooling for all turbine subsystems, and therefore covers many different technologies: scope may include major component lifting equipment which can apply to machine heads, hubs, and other major components, and/or drivetrain‑related capabilities such as geared turning drives, alignment equipment, and lifting/rigging.
