GE Vernova is a leading offshore wind energy company that operates a portfolio of turbines ranging from 6 MW to 14 MW. The ROC team plays a critical role in the technical execution of projects, supporting commissioning and ongoing service phases for the Offshore Wind Platform (Haliade X).

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations, including remote commissioning, real‑time monitoring, surveillance activities, and reporting.
- Ensure continuous delivery of 24/7 remote operations that remain fully functional 365 days a year, with rotating shifts.
- Detect abnormal system conditions, respond to field disturbances and alarms, and keep turbines operating safely.
- Execute commissioning and remote troubleshooting, diagnosing issues and supporting site teams during PLI closure.
- Coordinate 24/7 ROC activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher‑level technical support and provide detailed information.
- Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve complex problems and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain coordination with site teams and communicate technical information via reports, presentations, and verbal updates.
- Investigate and report performance anomalies at control and design levels to support operational excellence.
- Seek opportunities for process optimization, digitization, and automation within ROC operations.
- Coordinate planned and unplanned grid outages,



ensuring minimal operational disruption and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or 3+ years of relevant work experience in the wind sector.
- Proven on‑site technical experience with wind turbine generators, capable of reading electrical schematics and providing technical support to field technicians.
- Proficiency with SCADA systems, MS Office, and relevant digital tools.
- Willingness to travel for training.
- Skill in reporting, documentation management, and report creation.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written). Spanish is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in control room operations, preferably within the wind power sector (offshore wind, commissioning, MarkVIe, remote operator).
- Strong problem‑solving, risk assessment, and analytical skills;
ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations.
- Availability for a 24/7/365 rotating shift system and on‑call responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills;
ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced, multicultural environments.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, adaptable, with a proactive mindset and commitment to standardized work practices.
