CIC energiGUNE is seeking a Team Leader in Applied Cell Engineering & Process Intelligence. The person will lead a customer-facing applied team that translates CIC energiGUNE’s capabilities in materials, electrode processing, prototyping, testing, digital manufacturing and modelling into industrially relevant battery solutions.
Expected impact
Attraction of higher-value industrial projects.
Better use of the existing pouch and cylindrical cell infrastructure.
Progressive development of prismatic cell design know-how, complementing current pouch and cylindrical cell capabilities.
More robust comparative validation and process intelligence.
A clearer pathway from CIC energiGUNE technologies to industrial adoption.

Requirements
PhD, D.Eng or EngDin Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
More than 10 years of direct R&D; experience in the field of Li-ion and Na-ion battery research.
More than 5 years of experience managing technical and commercial relationships with OEM and other industrial clients across Europe, Asia, and the United States
Proven track record in translating fundamental research into applied solutions,
We expect high readiness to work with strong engagement and creativity in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
