About the Role We are seeking a dedicated

Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

to join a

community-based rehabilitation unit in Leopardstown

. This service supports patients transitioning from acute hospitals, primarily those requiring

Level 2 and Level 3 rehabilitation

, with a strong focus on care of older persons.

Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality medical care in a

25–50 bed rehabilitation unit Perform

comprehensive admission assessments

and ongoing patient reviews Conduct

daily ward rounds

and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team Manage and optimise

medication plans

(including prescribing and deprescribing) Monitor patient progress and respond to clinical changes Liaise with

GPs, geriatric specialists, nursing staff,



and allied health professionals Support

discharge planning

and safe transition to community care Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation

Working Environment Modern rehabilitation facility based in

Leopardstown Collaborative

multidisciplinary team

including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, and dietetics Regular input from a

Consultant Geriatrician Patient-focused, integrated care approach

Requirements Registered with the

Irish Medical Council Available to start ASAP

Working Hours Full-time position Rostered shifts covering a

24/7 service 39 hour week Includes

nights and weekends
