We are looking for a responsible and experienced Senior Household Helper & Nanny to assist with household chores and childcare in a British-Filipino family. The role involves caring for two children, aged 10 and 12 years old , one of whom has special needs. The idóneo candidate should be patient, organized, and have a genuine love for children. Experience with special needs care is a plus. The candidate must also be able to work well with other household staff to ensure a smooth and well-managed home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care to both children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with the daily routine, including meal preparation, feeding, bathing, and dressing.
- Offer extra support and patience in caring for the child with special needs.
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate and educational activities.
- Assist with schoolwork and help create a structured routine.
- Perform household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking and organizing.
- Work collaboratively with other household staff to maintain an efficient and well-run home.
- Run errands, including grocery shopping and school pickups/drop-offs (if required).
- Follow household routines and discipline guidelines set by parents.
- Occasionally assist with special occasions or family gatherings.
- Assist with other home-based task as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a nanny or senior household helper (minimum 5 years).
- Experience working with children, including those with special needs, is an advantage.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with other household staff.
- Can communicate in basic English
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to provide personalized care.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
Good cooking skills preferred.
- First aid or CPR certification is a plus.
