Funditec Intelligence is Funditec’s unit specializing in Applied Artificial Intelligence. The Edge division (Intelligent Physical Systems) is dedicated to the design, optimization, and deployment of solutions where software and hardware connect, overlap, and coexist. Its mission is to implement and transfer artificial intelligence to physical devices (robots, drones, satellites, sensors) in end-user operational environments, equipping them with the ability to make decisions and take action in real time, with high energy efficiency and without reliance on the cloud.

Through its ROBOTICS division, which focuses on physical entities capable of action, movement, and mechanical stability, we are seeking to hire a Senior Perception Engineer





RESPONSIBILITIES
Sensory Fusion
Integration and calibration of sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU, radar)
Development of perception pipelines to feed into planning
Generation of semantic maps and environmental models
Sensor simulation in the Digital Twin
Perception-in-the-loop validation
Definition of AI tasks applied to sensor data (detection, segmentation, tracking, etc.) and functional metrics aligned with autonomy
Design and curation of multimodal datasets, including the generation of synthetic data from the Digital Twin

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
Experience in software and hardware project development
Advanced proficiency in Python, C++, and object-oriented programming
Nav2 and/or similar navigation algorithms
Advanced knowledge of deep learning (reinforcement learning)
Advanced knowledge of data processing in simulated environments
Medium-high to high knowledge of ROS / ROS 2
Knowledge of image processing for AI
Knowledge of ONNX and TensorRT
Experience with distributed software architecture

Highly Desirable

Experience with Isaac Sim
Experience with sim2real deployment
Experience with SLAM
Experience in real-world robotics or industrial environments
Experience with edge computing platforms such as Nvidia Jetson
