Do you enjoy leading complex international installation projects while remaining actively involved in the technical work?
Our client, a global leader in food-processing technology, is looking for an International On-site Manager to oversee the installation and commissioning of advanced production lines at customer sites worldwide.
This is not a purely office-based project management position. You will combine project ownership, technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on problem-solving.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will act as the link between engineering, project management, customers, subcontractors, and on-site installation teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing international installation projects from a technical and organizational perspective
- Taking responsibility for system installation and commissioning at customer sites
- Monitoring project planning, budget, safety, quality, and progress
- Leading international installation teams and local subcontractors
- Managing teams of up to approximately 35 people on larger projects
- Communicating with customers, suppliers, engineers, and internal stakeholders
- Supporting installation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning when required
- Identifying safety risks and ensuring compliance with applicable procedures
- Reporting project progress, deviations, and improvement opportunities
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
The position offers flexibility regarding your place of residence. You may remain based in your preferred location,
provided that you are able to travel internationally approximately 60% of the time.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Gross monthly salary between EUR 3,200 and EUR 6,800, depending on experience
- Payment for all overtime
- 140% overtime pay on Saturdays
- 180% overtime pay on Sundays
- 120% overtime pay from the 10th working hour of the day
- EUR 75 gross lodging allowance per night during international projects

WHAT YOU BRING
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial machinery, mechanical engineering, high-tech equipment, automotive, or a comparable environment
- Proven experience supervising technical installations and commissioning activities
- Experience leading project teams, technicians, or subcontractors
- Strong planning, coordination, and customer-management skills
- Excellent command of English
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately 60% of the time
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES
- Experience as a Site Manager,
- Installation Manager, Commissioning Manager, Project Engineer, or Field Project Manager
- Knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics, and control systems
- PLC or software-configuration experience
- Experience working in multicultural project environments
- A practical, hands-on approach to technical challenges
