As a GDS Quoting Expert within the Westcon-Comstor International team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless and compliant importation of IT products across global markets. You will be responsible for preparing accurate quotes that reflect the full scope of Importer of Record (IOR) responsibilities, including customs compliance, documentation, logistics coordination, and financial liability. Your work will directly support international business operations, ensuring timely and lawful delivery of goods to customers.

Location: In travel distance of one of our EU offices, this is a hybrid role

Language: Proficient English plus a European language

Quoting & Commercial Support

- Prepare and deliver accurate IOR-inclusive quotes for international shipments, factoring in customs duties, taxes, and compliance costs.
- Collaborate with sales, logistics, and legal teams to ensure quotes reflect current regulations and operational capabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of country-specific import requirements and incorporate them into quoting processes.

IOR Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure all import transactions comply with local and international customs laws and regulations.
- Prepare, review, and submit all necessary import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Act as the legal entity responsible for the importation of goods, accepting financial and regulatory liability.

Logistics Coordination

- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth delivery of goods.




- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any customs or logistical issues.
- Support the selection and management of third-party logistics providers for IOR services.

Risk Management & Reporting

- Identify and mitigate risks related to import transactions, including compliance breaches and financial exposure.
- Maintain accurate records of all IOR activities for audit and reporting purposes.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on IOR performance and compliance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven experience in international logistics, trade compliance, or import/export operations.
- Familiarity with customs regulations and IOR responsibilities across multiple regions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial and regulatory documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and quoting tools; SAP or Oracle experience is a plus.

Preferred Attributes

- Certification in international trade or customs compliance (e.g., CUSECO, CCS).
- Experience in the IT distribution industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
