Product Manager – Treasury Systems
Ebury is looking for an experienced Product Manager for our Treasury domain to ensure reliable data flow into our Treasury Management System, currently powered by FIS Quantum.
Location: Madrid Office – Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week.
Responsibilities
- Define the Roadmap for Treasury Systems: Develop a deep understanding of Ebury’s transactional flows—including FX trades (client and hedging), cash allocations, and reconciled payments—to ensure accurate data ingestion into the TMS.
- Optimize Cash Management & Visibility: Drive features that provide real‑time cash visibility across bank accounts and enhance forecasting capabilities based on trade maturities, cash sweeps, and third‑party settlements.
- Oversee Banking Reconciliation Logic: Ensure the system accurately acknowledges every bank account balance, justifies deltas, and reconciles bank flows against expected cashflows from trades and payments.
- Manage Market Data & Valuations: Oversee the integration of market feeds, including valuation rates and interest curves, to produce precise Mark‑to‑Market (MtM) valuations for open transactions.
- Drive System Evolution: Evaluate the performance of the current FIS Quantum setup; identify gaps to build complementary in‑house features or lead the strategic analysis for a potential future system replacement.
- Collaborate with Engineering: Define technical requirements for data pipelines between internal transactional engines and the TMS, prioritizing features based on operational efficiency and financial risk reduction.
- Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary bridge between the technical teams and the Treasury department, communicating project status, system health, and strategic data integrity.
Qualifications
- Proven Product Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years in product management, specifically within FinTech, Banking, or Treasury‑focused domains.
- Domain Expertise in Treasury: Deep understanding of cash management, liquidity forecasting, and the mechanics of FX trade settlements.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with how data flows across disparate systems and an understanding of how transactional events translate into treasury movements.
- Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze complex datasets and financial messages to identify patterns and ensure high‑fidelity data mapping.
- Problem‑Solving & Documentation: Experience handling complex financial logic and the ability to produce high‑quality documentation for system evaluations or in‑house builds.
- Vendor Management: Experience working with or managing third‑party financial software providers (e.g., FIS, Kyriba, or similar TMS platforms).
