Experteer Overview In this role you will administer and optimize large IBM i environments to ensure stability, performance, and security. You will work within a hybrid London/Basildon team at SSu0026amp; C to upgrade OS, apply PTFs, manage backups with BRMS, and run disaster recovery tests. You will monitor resources, tune performance, and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues. You will configure LPARs, TCP/IP, and security controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business systems.Compensaciones / Ventajas
- Administer and support IBM i environments for stability, performance and security
- Perform OS upgrades, patching, and manage PTFs and cumulative PTF packages
- Monitor CPU, memory, storage and disk usage; proactively resolve performance issues
- Manage backup and recovery operations using BRMS or equivalent; plan and test disaster recovery
- Configure and maintain LPARs, TCP/IP networking, and connected devices
- Create and maintain user profiles, security settings, and access controls per policies




- Troubleshoot IBM i hardware/software/infrastructure issues and coordinate with vendors/teamsResponsabilidades
- 2+ years IBM i system administration experience
- Experience with IBM i OS upgrades, PTF management, security administration, and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of IBM Power Systems architecture and IBM i technologies
- Experience with BRMS or equivalent backup/recovery solutions
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, execution, and testing
- Experience managing LPAR environments and TCP/IP configurations
- Knowledge of IBM i security concepts including user authorities, object security, auditing, and monitoring tools
- Exposure to IBM i scripting/automation (CL, SQL, RPG)
