The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Ciudad Real, Spain to provide on-site technical support at local data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities

-

- Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)

- Server rack installation and decommissioning

- Cross-connect and patch panel management

- Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics

- Visual inspections and inventory audits

- Escort and access coordination for client visits

- Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

- Hands‑on experience with data centre infrastructure





- Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards

- Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centres

- Strong communication skills in English

- Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment

- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests

Nice to Have

-

- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA

- Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)

- Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)

- Data centre or IT infrastructure experience

- Server hardware and networking knowledge

- Reliable and professional with strong communication

- Proximity to local data centre facilities

- Versátil schedule for on-call/emergency work
