Experteer Overview In this role you will support and own lease accounting and general ledger activities within Scopely’s fast-growing Accounting team in Barcelona. You will manage monthly close cycles for lease accounting under ASC 842 and IFRS 16, and collaborate across locations and with external auditors to ensure accurate disclosures. You will drive process improvements and maintain accounting systems to scale with the company’s integral operations. - Manage monthly and quarterly lease accounting close activities, including posting lease amortization journal entries under US GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare and review lease-related reconciliations and roll-forwards
- Assess new leases, amendments, renewals, and terminations for proper ASC 842/IFRS 16 treatment
- Maintain lease accounting software inputs, calculations, reporting and controls
- Support quarterly and annual lease disclosures under US GAAP and IFRS; explain variances to management




- Drive process improvements and enhancements to lease accounting workflows and reporting
- Possible management of fixed asset accounting including roll-forwards and related disclosures
- Support other general ledger accounting areas as business needs evolve
- Collaborate with subsidiaries and external auditors to address audit queriesResponsabilidades
- Minimum 4 years' lease accounting experience under ASC 842 and IFRS 16
- Minimum 4 years' general ledger accounting experience
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Experience in international company across locations
- Proven history of process improvements
- Prior Oracle experience is advantageous
- Excellent English communications and analytical skills
