We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in León. You will design and optimize manufacturing processes for new production plants, ensuring they are safe, efficient and environmentally friendly.

Responsibilities

-

- Gather key design data from all relevant departments.

- Perform mass and energy balances.

- Prepare P&IDs.;

- Conduct technical‑economic feasibility studies.

- Lead risk analyses from the perspective of industrial and food safety.

- Define the control strategy.

- Define the production schedule.

- Prepare process documentation and SOPs.

- Identify critical control points.

- Train staff.

- Estimate operating and investment costs.

- Define the main process equipment.

- Define materials in accordance with the required quality.

- Define and evaluate pilot tests.

- Lead commissioning activities.

Education

-

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred).

Skills

-

- In‑depth knowledge of the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries.





- Knowledge of biotechnological processes.

- Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines in facility safety and environmental protection.

- Technical expertise in batch and continuous processes.

- Strong conflict management skills.

- Excellence in technical problem‑solving.

- Knowledge of SAP.

- Very good knowledge of Spanish and English.

- Proficiency in process simulation tools.

- Expertise in energy efficiency and carbon footprint.

Experience

-

- Several years of professional experience as a process engineer in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry.

- Experience in process optimization.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Experience as a Project Manager on projects in the range of 1 million euros is a plus.
