Inventory Planner – EU Linehaul Forecasting and Planning, EU Middle Mile Forecast & PlanningJob ID: 10463341 | Amazon EU SARL (Spain Branch)STEP Middle Mile business Forecasting team within EU Trans S&OP organization is looking for a customer focused, analytically and technically skilled Inventory Planner/Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving change and improvements across the organization while always thinking about the bigger picture. You will pioneer new ways of thinking to deliver optimized customer speed and delivery accuracy at the planned cost, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the business and continuously scoping out new solutions for ambiguous challenges.Ship With Amazon (SWA) is scaling up by 2x by 2028, injecting volume into 10+ middle mile sort centres across the UK, France, Spain, and Italy. Today, SWA contributes disproportionately to network forecast error, making this one of the highest‑impact forecasting challenges in EU Transportation and a major opportunity to drive cost efficiency at scale.Key Job Responsibilities- Plan and execute weekly high‑volume events for SWA Forecast publication, ensuring plans are optimized for CX metrics (Speed, Cost, DEA).- Serve as gate‑keeper for the relationship with tech teams producing the SWA volume plan.- Establish a single source of truth for SWA performance metrics across the network, defining forecasting targets, ownership boundaries, and accountability between SWA operations and E2E forecasting.- Create innovative solutions using data and analysis to address broader challenges, liaising with stakeholders across Amazon operations to implement these solutions.- Take a big‑picture approach to business operations analysis,
creating processes that drive improvements across teams and organizations.- Work with leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programs, leading them from start to finish and reporting on program status.- Challenge outbound transportation and supply chain processes, partnering to create and manage an end‑to‑end EU capacity roadmap that drives excellence in customer experience at the planned cost.A Day in the LifeYou will lead the publication of the SWA forecasting plan, capture lessons learned to improve future plans, and apply those learnings to optimize processes. Working with multiple teams, you’ll navigate challenges that arise, resolve temporary issues, and keep the big picture in mind to help Amazon achieve new objectives. This role is both proactive and reactive, providing opportunities to forecast and plan for new projects and assist with busy periods, including HVEs.About the TeamThe team specializes in E2E & Middle Mile Forecasting across multiple horizons and serves as the single source of truth for capacity planning.
