Experteer Overview In this Principal Engineer role, you will provide technical leadership for designing and validating large fabricated and composite structures used in wind turbine nacelles. You’ll drive robust engineering outcomes across sheet-metal and composite components, ensuring safety, manufacturability, and compliance. You will lead design and drawing reviews, perform analytical calculations, and correlate test and simulation results to strengthen methods. You will engage with certification activities and help elevate the organization’s structural capability and credibility.Compensaciones / Incentivos
- Lead the design, analysis, validation, and technical Direction of large fabricated and composite structures for wind turbine nacelles
- Drive engineering solutions for sheet-metal and composite structures with emphasis on safety, quality, manufacturability, and compliance
- Chair design reviews and perform detailed drawing and tolerance analyses to support decisions
- Perform structural calculations and simulations in ANSYS for strength, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and overall structural performance
- Apply IIW, Eurocode, DNV standards to support decisions, compliance, and certification
- Bridge testing and simulation by correlating results and improving models and methods
- Partner with leadership to strengthen structural engineering capabilities and drive continuous improvement
- Lead technical supplier reviews, root cause investigations, and cross-functional problem solving across teams
- Support PLM activities and mentor engineers to grow technical expertiseResponsabilidades
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
- Extensive structural engineering experience with large fabricated metallic structures and composite components
- Strong expertise in structural dynamics, sheet-metal fabrication, and composite structures
- Hands-on experience in frequency-domain fatigue analysis, fracture mechanics, strength calculations, structural validation
- Proficiency in ANSYS or similar frequency-domain analysis tools
- Working knowledge of engineering drawing reviews, GDu0026T, and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Experience supporting certification processes and interacting with certification bodies
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and engineering coaching skills
