Experteer Overview In this IC3 Backend role you design, build, and operate the backend foundation for Spendesk’s AI-native experiences. You will create services for conversations, context handling, content access, and multi-step orchestration, integrating LLMs via AWS Bedrock with resilience and observability. You’ll partner with product and design teams to turn AI concepts into scalable, secure backend capabilities. Your work shapes how agents, tooling, and content come together to deliver robust, production-grade AI features.Compensaciones / Ventajas
- Design, build, and run backend services and APIs powering conversational and agentic AI features
- Implement context management, tool invocation, rich content access, and multi-step orchestration
- Integrate LLMs through AWS Bedrock with robust retries, tracing, and cost-aware usage
- Ensure production-grade reliability, security, and maintainability from day one
- Define reusable service boundaries, contracts, and interfaces for cross-squad adoption
- Collaborate with ML, Product, Design, and other backend teams to enable AI use cases
- Own complex components end-to-end from design to deployment and maintenance
- Instrument services with logs, tracing,



and metrics for strong observability
- Balance rapid experimentation with long-term platform quality
- Contribute to shared engineering knowledge on LLM integration and async workflowsResponsabilidades
- Significant backend software engineering experience in production
- Experience designing and shipping scalable backend services with reliability and maintainability
- Strong TypeScript / Node.Js backend skills
- Fluency in service design, asynchronous architectures, and resilient distributed systems
- Experience integrating APIs and external services into robust backends
- Practical or strong interest in production LLM integration (AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or Anthropic)
- Familiarity with Kafka, SQS, Step Functions, PostgreSQL and modern observability practices
- Independent, product-minded, and able to translate business needs into backend systems
