Experteer Overview As an EHS Specialist, you will provide day-to-day health, safety, and environmental support for multiple sites within a region. You’ll partner with field service engineers, managers, and contractors to manage EHS issues, inspections, and training. You’ll help ensure regulatory compliance, implement site procedures, and lead risk assessments to prevent incidents. This role supports GE Vernova’s EHS programs and aims to uphold a Zero Harm culture across wind operations.Compensaciones / Incentivos
- Interpret laws, regulations, and procedures across local and national EHS standards
- Prepare and review EHS documentation and assess implications for products and processes
- Ensure customer EHS requirements are met for access by GE Vernova personnel and contractors
- Develop, update and implement site procedures in line with GE Vernova management system and local regulations
- Review and test Emergency Plans and train personnel on their use
- Train staff on regulations, risk mitigation, and safety engineering controls
- Support site manager in EHS program implementation and audits
- Conduct quarterly emergency drills and targeted readiness activities
- Verify equipment, tools, and subcontractors meet safety standards and documentation requirements
- Perform onsite EHS assessments during major operations and coordinate with regional teams
- Lead and participate in site inspections, audits, and regulatory engagements
- Maintain EHS documentation, manage PPE for staff and visitors
- Support equipment guarding standards and safer tooling initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GE Vernova Gensuite, Comply Works,
and SGS systems
- Communicate EHS metrics and ensure proper event closing and accountability
- Represent GE Vernova in local EHS groups and wind community
- Drive incident reporting, investigation, and root-cause analysis
- Promote continuous improvement and Zero Harm initiatives across sites
- Provide EHS training and guidance to site managers and leaders
- Collaborate with contractors, medical services, and regulatory bodies on EHS matters
- Maintain stakeholder engagement and advocacy for safe working environments
- Coach and mentor local management on EHS strategy deployment and regulatory changes
- Support region and service director decisions with data-driven insights
- Maintain biweekly follow-ups with field technicians
- Contribute to annual training plans and local initiatives for equipment safety
- Lead in information sharing of best practices across sitesResponsabilidades
- Technical background in electricity, mechanical, etc.
- Master in EHS (Locally Professional)
- Physical fitness for climbing wind turbines
- Strong knowledge of local and regional EHS regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based tools
- Technical expertise in EHS risk assessment, audits, regulatory compliance, incident management, root cause analysis, and management systems
- Soft skills in influence, resilience, communication, conflict management, and team engagement
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- 5 years’ experience in wind field operations and/or EHS
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
