We are partnered with a leading international contractor renowned for delivering some of Europe's most technically demanding projects across the Mission Critical, Data Centre, Life Sciences and Advanced Technology sectors.

With a substantial pipeline of secured work across Spain, Portugal and the wider Iberian region , the business continues to expand its commercial leadership team and is now seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the successful delivery of flagship mission-critical developments based in Zaragoza.

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join one of Europe's fastest-growing contractors in the mission-critical sector.

Working alongside the Project Director and senior operational leadership, you will take full commercial ownership of a flagship Data Centre project, leading the commercial function from pre-construction through to final account while ensuring profitability, contractual compliance and commercial excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

The role offers long-term career progression within a business continuing to expand across the Iberian market, with future opportunities to progress into Regional Commercial leadership.

The Projects

You’ll initially lead the commercial delivery of a flagship hyperscale Data Centre development in Zaragoza for a leading international developer.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial delivery of a major Data Centre project from procurement through to final account.

Manage and mentor Quantity Surveyors and the wider commercial team on site.

Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting and cash flow.

Lead subcontract procurement,



contract negotiations and final account settlements.

Ensure effective commercial governance and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Manage client relationships and support senior project leadership with commercial decision-making.

Review valuations, variations, claims and change management processes.

Maximise project profitability while maintaining excellent client satisfaction.

Provide regular commercial reporting to senior leadership.

Required Experience & Background

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Manager within a Tier 1 contractor or leading international contractor.

Strong background delivering Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial, Life Sciences or major building projects .

Excellent understanding of procurement, commercial management and contract administration.

Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, JCT or equivalent forms of contract.

Experience managing commercial teams on large-scale construction projects.

Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.

Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is advantageous.

Excellent commercial and financial acumen.

Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Previous experience working on major European projects would be beneficial.

What’s On Offer

Salary: Up to €130,000 , depending on experience.
