No /p h3Offer Description /h3 pbPostdoctoral Researcher in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related Field /b /p pWe are seeking a highly motivated and innovative postdoctoral researcher, with expertise in complex 3D culture systems and experience with primary cell cultures, to develop and validate advanced patient-derived breast cancer models, to investigate tumor evolution and therapeutic responses in physiologically relevant environments. This project offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of bioengineering, translational oncology, immunology, and personalized medicine, contributing to the development of novel technologies for cancer research and treatment. The project is embedded within the bmulticenter clinical circuit MATRIXinCANCER /b, which integrates the departments of radiology, breast unit, pharmacy, medical oncology, pathology, traumatology, and other supporting services. /p pAt the bCipitria Lab – Bioengineering in Regeneration and Cancer /b, part of the Biogipuzkoa Health Research Institute in San Sebastián-Donostia ( ),
we investigate how the biophysical and biochemical properties of native extracellular matrices and synthetic biomaterials regulate cellular responses in tissue regeneration, cancer dormancy and metastasis. Biogipuzkoa is located within the University Hospital Donostia - Onkologikoa healthcare and research network. /p ul liPhD in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Biology, Biomedical Engineering or a related field. /li liInterest in and eligibility to apply for competitive postdoctoral fellowships, such as Juan de la Cierva, Sara Borrell, AECC Postdoctoral, or equivalent national and international funding schemes. /li liHands-on experience with complex 3D culture systems, preferably including primary cell cultures and organoids. /li liInterest in interdisciplinary research combining patient-derived samples, 3D culture models and bioengineering platforms for biomedical applications. /li liStrong knowledge of cancer biology and tumor microenvironment dynamics. /li liPractical expertise in imaging techniques and immunofluorescence assays. /li liExperience and/or willingness to work closely with clinicians, the clinical coordinator, the biobank, and other members of the MATRIXinCANCER consortium. /li liExperience and/or ability to perform rigorous documentation and management of clinical samples, associated data and experimental procedures. /li liHighly motivated, creative, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research environment. /li liExcellent organizational skills, with a pragmatic, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
