An environment of innovation and excellence at European level from which senior and junior researchers from around the world bdevelop disruptive technologies and business models /b that will serve as an engine of socio-economic growth in the medium and long term. /p pWe are looking for an bOptical Fiber Sensors Engineer (FOG Systems) /b to join our Photonics and Quantum Sensing team. /p pbTasks to be performed: /b /p ul liImplementation and assembly of optical fiber sensing subsystems and Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) setups in laboratory environments /li liBuild, integrate and test optical fiber sensing subsystems and FOG setups in laboratory environments /li liWork hands‑on with specialty optical fibers (fusion splicing, handling and integration) /li liSet up and execute experimental campaigns to evaluate sensor performance (noise, drift, stability)



/li liTroubleshoot and optimize optical and photonic subsystems /li liAnalyze experimental data and validate system performance /li liCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electronics, software, mechanics) to develop complete systems /li liDocument testing activities and support the transition from prototype to robust solutions /li /ul pbRequired skills, experience and candidate profile: /b /p ul liDegree in Physics, Photonics, Electronic Engineering or related field /li li3–4 years of hands‑on experience in optical fiber sensors, photonic systems or FOG /li liStrong laboratory experience in optical instrumentation, integration and testing /li liExperience in system characterization (noise, stability, performance) /li liFamiliarity with optical lab equipment (OSA, oscilloscopes, photodetectors, etc.) /li liExperience in fiber handling and fusion splicing /li liProblem‑solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot experimental setups /li liExperience in data analysis /li liHigh level of technical Englishbr/ /li /ul pbAdditionally, we will also value experience in the following areas: /b /p ul liExperience in inertial sensing or precision instrumentation /li liExperience in calibration and validation of high‑performance systems /li liBackground in aerospace, defense or advanced optical technologies /li liExperience in industrialization or transition from lab to product /li liKnowledge of environmental testing or quantum sensing technologies /li /ul pThe position will be available at both our offices in Tenerife and Madrid. /p pFlexibility to travel between these locations is required. /p pbThink Big, Do the Job Enjoy Life /b /p pAt ARQUIMEA, we value diversity and inclusion.
