An environment of innovation and excellence at European level from which senior and junior researchers from around the world bdevelop disruptive technologies and business models /b that will serve as an engine of socio-economic growth in the medium and long term. /ppWe are looking for an bSenior Optical Systems Researcher (FOG) /b to join our Photonics and Quantum Sensing team. /ph3Tasks to be performed: /h3pDesign and develop photonic and optical sensing systems for Fiber Optic Gyroscopes (FOG) /ppDefine system architecture and key technical requirements /ppModel and simulate system performance (noise, drift, stability)



using MATLAB/Simulink /ppAnalyze error sources and optimize system performance /ppSupport component selection and system integration /ppDesign and execute validation and characterization campaigns /ppCorrelate experimental results with models to improve system design /ppCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams for full system development /ppContribute to technology scouting in photonics and advanced sensing /ph3Required skills, experience and candidate profile: /h3pDegree in Physics, Photonics, Electronic Engineering or related field (PhD highly valued) /ppAt least 4 years of experience in RD of optical systems, photonics or FOG /ppStrong background in optical system design and photonic instrumentation /ppExperience in modelling and simulation (MATLAB, Simulink) /ppKnowledge of optical fiber sensors and interferometric systems /ppExperience in system characterization, performance analysis and validation /ppUnderstanding of noise sources, drift and error mechanisms /ppExperience working in multidisciplinary environments /ppHigh level of technical Englishbr/ /ph3Additionally, we will also value experience in the following areas: /h3pInertial sensing systems or precision instrumentation /ppExperience in advanced optical instrumentation or high-precision systems /ppThe position will be available at both our offices in Tenerife and Madrid. /ppFlexibility to travel between these locations is required. /ppbThink Big, Do the Job Enjoy Life /b /ppbAt ARQUIMEA, we value diversity and inclusion.
