We are looking for a Project Coordinator Intern to support our team as we begin a new engagement with a major logistics firm. This role is about maintaining the organization and clarity required for complex advisory projects. You will work closely with our consultants to ensure that every decision and follow-up item is recorded and tracked. This is a fully remote position that requires a steady hand and a clear, plain writing style. About the role
Olive Tree Consulting helps companies fix the gaps between their plans and their daily work. For our client in the logistics sector, the scale of operations means that small coordination errors can lead to significant delays.
The Project Coordinator
Intern serves as the structural support for our project team. You are there to make sure that nothing falls through the cracks and that our client always knows where things stand. Your work allows our advisors to focus on solving problems while you manage the administrative and organizational rhythm of the engagement. This is a full-time internship where you will learn how to turn messy conversations into clear, actionable records. What you will do
Attend internal and client meetings to capture clear, accurate notes that focus on decisions and actions.
Distill complex discussions into simple lists of tasks and assign them to the correct owners.
Update project timelines and internal tracking documents to reflect current progress.
Organize shared digital folders and documentation so that information is easy for any team member to find.
Draft weekly status updates for both our internal team and the logistics client.
Identify when a task has no clear owner or when a deadline is approaching and flag it for the lead consultant.
Help map out internal handoffs between different departments at the client firm to identify friction points.
Coordinate recurring meeting rhythms across different schedules to ensure the project maintains its pace. What we are looking for A strong preference for order and clarity in everything you do.
The ability to write simply and accurately without using corporate jargon or fluff.
Comfort with remote communication tools and digital documentation platforms.
A curious mindset that asks for clarification when a decision or responsibility seems vague.
Reliability in meeting small deadlines, such as sending out meeting summaries promptly.
A calm approach to changing priorities and the ability to reorganize tasks as needed.
Willingness to learn the Olive Tree method of minimal, effective documentation. Helpful background
Basic familiarity with project management tools or shared document editors.
A background in studies or projects where clear, concise writing was a primary requirement.
Any prior internship or part-time work that required a high level of organization and attention to detail.
An interest in how large organizations function and how management habits are formed.
Experience working or studying in a remote environment where self-management was necessary. What we offer
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from a location that suits your productivity.
We believe in a work culture that respects your time and avoids unnecessary meetings or performative work. This is a paid internship, and the pay is attractive and competitive for the role and current market.
You will receive direct mentorship from experienced consultants and get an inside look at how high-level advisory work is delivered to large-scale clients. We focus on teaching practical skills that make work easier to hold, providing you with a solid foundation in project coordination.
About Olive Tree
Consulting
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear.
These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth. We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
