As a Senior Backend Engineer at Xe, you own real-money movement problems end-to-end, from API design to production reliability. You will help rebuild the platform layer for cross-border payments, writing production-grade code that moves money and enables multi-currency functionality. You’ll shape backend services, lead architecture discussions, and mentor mid-level engineers within a small, impact-driven team.

You work closely with product, compliance, and operations, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery. This is your chance to influence scale, reliability, and platform modernization in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Design and own backend services for money movement and multi-currency balances across onboarding, KYC/KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement, and related domains
- Lead cross-functional delivery with product, compliance, and operations from problem framing to launch
- Develop partner integrations and settlement infrastructure within your domain
- Own production health, including reliability, observability,



on-call, and incident response
- Lead design reviews, set technical direction, and mentor mid-level engineers
- Leverage agentic coding tools throughout the SDLC and drive modernization from legacy services into the modern stack

Responsabilidades

- 6 to 10+ years building production backend services
- Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET preferred; other OOP languages welcome
- SQL and relational database fundamentals
- Writing and maintaining tests
- Daily use of agentic coding tools across the SDLC
- Production experience with AWS, including xugodme deployment, CI/CD, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda
- Strong system design and architecture experience (service-oriented/microservices, event-driven)
- Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience
- Track record of technical leadership: mentoring, design reviews, architecture decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication
