As Engineering Manager for the Database u0026amp; Streaming squad, you lead a software-focused team building automation for data storage and streaming components used by developers. You own the roadmap with product partners and drive iterative delivery to快速 value. You balance user-friendliness with security, ensuring compliance with standards like PCI-DSS.
This role centers on creating tooling for engineers to deploy and manage their own infrastructure, not DBA or core infra management. You will shape solutions at scale within the Developer Platform tribe.

- Lead the team building automation for SQL/NoSQL stores, caches, and data streaming components.
- Own and drive the product roadmap in collaboration with product peers, delivering iteratively to maximise value.
- Balance developer usability with security and compliance requirements across internal and external standards (e.g., PCI-DSS).
- Guide the team to design tooling that enables software engineers to deploy and manage their own infrastructure.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.
- Mentor engineers across career levels and help high-potential contributors shine.
Responsabilidades
- Experience leading technical teams of engineers with varying seniority.
- Strong software development lifecycle experience from ideation to release, including testing and staged releases.
- Ability to decompose projects and deliver iteratively to serve a broad customer base first.
- Experience working in a heterogeneous environment with multiple stakeholders and making prioritisation decisions.
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and Golang; familiarity with Kubernetes Operators is a strong plus. xugodme
- Strong understanding of data storage systems or streaming systems, ideally in the cloud.
