How do innovative biodegradable agricultural plastics interact with soil ecosystems and plant health?

The successful candidate will investigate the relationships between biodegradable agricultural materials, soil microbial communities and plant performance, combining:

? Soil microbiology & microbial ecology

? Plant physiology and plant–environment interactions

? Molecular biology and omics approaches

? Bioinformatics and statistical analysis (R)

? Greenhouse and field experiments The position is a unique opportunity to work at the interface between plant biology, soil science and sustainable materials , within an international European research consortium.

Candidate profile

We are looking for candidates with a PhD in:

- Plant Biology
- Biotechnology




- Biology
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Environmental Sciences
- Soil Science
- Ecology
- (or related fields)

Experience in some of the following areas will be highly valued: ✔ Soil microbiology / microbial ecology

✔ Plant physiology

✔ Plant–microbe interactions

✔ Metagenomics or metabarcoding

✔ Biological data analysis using R
