In this role, you will lead a team that builds and scales AI-enabled localization pipelines to deliver high-quality multilingual software. You’ll shape the strategy for a globalized engineering function and partner with product, QA, and internationalization teams to drive efficient, secure localization. You will implement next-generation workflows that blend NMT/LLM technologies with robust backend services.

This is an opportunity to influence how SAS products reach international customers through intelligent automation and scalable infrastructure.

- Define department strategy, governance, and process improvements
- Oversee hiring, performance management and staff growth in partnership with HR
- Develop and enhance Continuous Localization infrastructure and services
- Architect scalable localization workflows integrating NMT/LLM frameworks
- Build backend services, APIs, and microservices for automation of localization
- Design integrations between product systems, TMS, content repositories, and CI/CD pipelines
- Partner with QA to advance automated validation and linguistic QA
- Align engineering execution with localization strategy with PMs
- Guide tooling, automation, and AI-enabled localization practices across teams




- Contribute to shared localization tools, frameworks, and standards
- Develop metrics for localization quality, throughput, and delivery
- Ensure compliance with security policies in secure software development

Responsabilidades

- 6+ years in a technical localization management role
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field; Master’s preferred
- Proven leadership of engineering teams and project oversight
- Experience influencing workflows across product teams
- Expertise in AI/ML as applied to developer tools or localization
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript/Python xugodme or similar
- Experience with TMS tools, workflows and metrics
- Experience with Neural Machine Translation
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with automated localization testing frameworks such as Robot Framework and Playwright
- Experience developing AI/ML based tools or plugins for developer efficiency and global readiness
- Ability to adjust working hours across time zones
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
