Hector Kitchen
Barcelona
? Barcelona · Full time The role
Hector Kitchen is the #1 rated pet food brand on Trustpilot in France. We build personalized nutrition plans for dogs and cats, and we're now rebuilding how the company runs behind the scenes: simpler processes, sharper data, real automation.
We're hiring someone to own that transformation with the COO. Not a support role. You'll sit close to every major decision across Operations, Supply Chain, CX, Finance and Tech, and you'll be the person who turns "this is broken" into "this is fixed and it stays fixed."
If you like being in the room where decisions get made, and you'd rather ship a fix by Friday than write a report about it, keep reading.
What you'll actually do The role breaks down into three areas. You'll move between all three depending on what the business needs that month.
Supply chain
- Own demand forecasting and translate it into purchasing plans that don't leave us overstocked or short.
- Set and monitor stock level targets across our SKUs.
- Track supplier performance (lead times, fill rates, quality issues) and renegotiate terms when the numbers say we should.
- Investigate recurring supply chain issues (stockouts, delivery delays, cost overruns) and fix the root cause, not just the symptom.
- Work with CX and Ops to make sure supply decisions don't create downstream customer problems.
Data management
- Build and maintain the dashboards leadership actually opens every week, not ones that get built once and forgotten.
- Define the KPIs that matter for each function (Ops, CX, Supply Chain, Finance) and make sure everyone is looking at the same numbers.
- Clean up and structure the data infrastructure so reporting doesn't depend on manual exports and spreadsheet gymnastics.
- Run the analysis behind major decisions:
pricing, churn, retention, cost structure.
- Query directly in SQL when you need an answer faster than waiting on someone else.
Automation and process
- Map out where humans are doing repetitive work that a tool should be doing instead.
- Build automations connecting our tools with Make or n8n, from simple triggers to multi-step workflows.
- Ship AI agents for real, recurring tasks (customer support triage, reporting, data entry) where they save measurable time.
- Redesign internal workflows across Customer Support, Operations and Supply Chain so they scale without adding headcount.
- Lead these projects end to end: spot the opportunity, build the solution, get it adopted, measure the impact.
You're a fit if You've spent 3 to 6 years in business operations, strategy, supply chain or data, ideally inside a startup, scale up or e-commerce business where you had to move fast with limited resources.
You're fluent in SQL and comfortable being the smartest person in the room on a spreadsheet. You've built dashboards people actually use. You speak French and/or English at a professional level.
Bonus points if you've worked in subscription businesses, know your way around Metabase, Looker, Tableau or Power BI, have built workflows in Make, n8n or Zapier, or can write basic Python or JavaScript.
More than any tool, we're looking for someone genuinely curious about how businesses work, who gets restless when something is inefficient and fixes it instead of complaining about it.
Why this role
You'll report directly to the COO and work on problems that shape how the whole company operates. Small team, high autonomy, no bureaucracy between you and shipping your idea. If it's a good idea, you'll be building it next week, not next quarter.
