We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join a newly funded research project focused on the development of Artificial Intelligence methods for the analysis of medical images and clinical decision support in neuromuscular diseases. We offer a fully funded 3-year PhD position at Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla(IBiS); Hospital Universitario Virgen delRocío / CSIC / Universidad de Sevilla.

The project aims to develop state-of-the-art deep learning approaches capable of extracting clinically relevant information from routine diagnostic images, aiding clinicians improve disease detection and characterization.

Candidate Profile

Required

- European ID
- MSc degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering,



Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines.
- Strong programming skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
- Motivation to pursue a PhD. The selected candidate will be enrolled in the PhD programme in "Biología Integrada" at the University of Seville.

Desirable

- Spanish speaker
- Experience in Computer Vision and image analysis.
- Experience with machine/deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Knowledge of CNNs and/or Vision Transformers.
- Experience with biomedical or medical imaging data.
- Familiarity with Git, and scientific computing environments.
