In this role you will shape Boston Scientific’s external positioning in Spain by leading public affairs and advocacy to expand patient access. You will align strategies with market access objectives, monitor policy developments, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams. You’ll engage with policymakers, health authorities, and industry stakeholders to foster a favorable environment for medical innovation.

The role offers regional impact within Europe and a hybrid Madrid-based setup that emphasizes collaboration, integrity, and strategic influence.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Develop and execute public affairs strategies aligned with business priorities and market access objectives
- Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory and policy developments affecting the medical device sector in Spain
- Identify emerging policy issues and assess their potential business impact
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, health care authorities, industry associations and patient organizations
- Represent Boston Scientific in industry groups, trade associations and external forums
- Prepare policy positions, advocacy plans, and stakeholder engagement strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and execution of advocacy
- Support senior leadership engagement with government officials and health care decision-makers




- Ensure compliance with laws and company policies related to public affairs and lobbying
- Contribute to Europe-wide Public Affairs strategy and regional initiatives (e.g., MedTech Europe)
- Support reporting, metrics and internal communications for public affairs
- Monitor policy trends and identify opportunities to advance advocacy priorities

Responsabilidades

- Master’s degree in public policy, political science, economics, law, health policy or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public affairs, government affairs, public policy or advocacy
- Strong understanding of the Spanish legislative, regulatory and policy-making environment
- Ability to influence policy discussions and build trusted external relationships
- Experience developing and executing xugodme public affairs or stakeholder engagement strategies
- Strong analytical skills to translate complex policy issues into business recommendations
- Excellent project management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Native or fluent Spanish; excellent English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a complex, international and matrixed organization
- High ethical standards and sound professional judgment
