In this role, you will join a medical informatics team to translate analytics needs into scalable data pipelines. You’ll harmonize source data with RWD models like OMOP and FHIR while preserving data quality. You’ll collaborate with clinicians, informatics architects, data engineers, and scientists to produce analysis-ready datasets and contribute to scalable data-mapping approaches.

This position offers a hands-on path to shape data products in a mission-driven, cross-functional environment at Roche.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Syntactically and semantically map data to/from RWD models (OMOP, FHIR) using dbt or similar tools
- Design, develop, and test ETL/ELT pipelines for real world data
- Provide complete documentation of processes, methods, and results
- Integrate vocabularies/terminologies via REST APIs and relational tables
- Co-create scalable data-mapping approaches using declarative and functional programming
- Collaborate with clinical terminologists, informatics architects, data engineers, and data scientists to produce analysis-ready data
- Understand RWD use cases from business and IT perspectives and balance short-term gains with long-term costs




- Partner with IT and product teams to influence roadmaps and share learnings in RWD communities
- Translate clinical objectives into actionable data product requirements
- Build collaboration and positive relationships in an agile, multinational setup

Responsabilidades

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or informatics
- Hands-on experience with healthcare data
- Experience with OMOP and real world data
- Experience with terminology integration, including OHDSI Athena and UMLS
- Experience with NLP/LLMs for extracting structured data from unstructured clinical text for OMOP/FHIR
- xugodme Familiarity with AI tools such as Model Context Protocol and prompt engineering for data tasks
- Experience with data quality tools or ML-based anomaly detection for data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python (numpy, pandas) or R
- Strong software engineering background including TDD, OOP, FP, CI/CD, Git
- Excellent English communication; ability to translate business needs to technical requirements
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and build cross-functional collaboration in a matrix organization
- Travel: minimal via virtual collaboration
