As Senior Accountant in Bilbao, you will own the full accounting cycle for French legal entities, ensuring IFRS and French GAAP compliance. You will work within an international finance team to close monthly and yearly books, prepare reports, and support audits and tax filings. The role emphasizes process improvement and adoption of new tools to strengthen financial controls.
You will collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to maintain accurate records and drive compliance across entities. This position offers the chance to shape multinational accounting operations in a manufacturing setting.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
- Manage full accounting cycle for French entities, ensuring IFRS and French GAAP compliance
- Prepare and post journal entries for assets, liabilities, stock, revenue, and expenses
- Reconcile accounts, verify balances, and resolve discrepancies
- Review travel and expense claims for accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closings with supporting documentation
- Prepare financial reports per IFRS, Sibelco Group standards, and local statutory requirements
- Support auditors during annual audit and assist with tax filings and inspections
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in new tools/systems implementation
Responsabilidades
- 8+ years in financial accounting/audit with full GL and balance sheet coverage
- Master in Accounting (or equivalent) xugodme and professional qualifications (CPA/CIMA/CPC-AECA/DESC)
- Experience in manufacturing or complex international organizations; ideally with France
- Strong IFRS knowledge and French GAAP familiarity
- Proficiency in SAP; Excel; familiarity with Tagetik or OneStream is a plus
- Fluent in French and English; Spanish a plus
