As a Senior Analytics Platform Engineer, you will own Ebury's analytics platform end-to-end, with Sigma as the core BI tool. You will define the SDLC for analyst workflows using dbt and BigQuery, enabling self-service analytics with governance and documentation. You’ll collaborate across the Data Platform team to deliver a coherent platform experience and drive improvements in data quality, cost, and performance.

This hybrid Madrid/Malaga role offers a chance to shape how analysts derive trusted insights at scale and contribute to general growth through data-driven decisions.

Compensaciones / Beneficios

- Own and evolve the analytics platform end-to-end with Sigma as the core BI tool, including administration, governance, and versioning
- Define and manage the SDLC for analyst workflows across dbt and BigQuery (development standards, testing, CI/CD, release processes)
- Build frameworks and guardrails for self-service analytics with discoverable, documented, governed, and trustworthy dashboards and datasets
- Champion metrics consistency across warehouse, semantic models, and BI layer
- Support and upskill Data Analysts in analytics-engineering practices (version control, testing, modular modelling)




- Provide observability for data products: usage analytics, freshness, data quality signals, and BI cost/performance optimization on BigQuery
- Collaborate with Scheduler u0026 Infra, Semantic Layer, and AI Platform to deliver a cohesive platform experience
- Evaluate emerging BI and analytics tooling and practices to continuously improve the modern data stack

Responsabilidades

- Platform engineering experience building internal analytics/BI platforms
- Hands-on admin experience with a modern BI tool (Sigma preferred; Looker/Tableau also valued)
- Deep experience with dbt and BigQuery (project structuring, testing, performance and cost optimisation) xugodme
- Strong SQL and Python skills for tooling and automation
- Experience establishing SDLC practices for analytics teams (Git workflows, CI/CD, testing, documentation)
- Understanding of data governance concepts (data lineage, access controls, cataloging) for BI
- Strong communication and enablement skills
- Hands-on experience operating services on GCP is a plus
- Fluency in English; Spanish a plus
