In this role you will own the dbt modelling layer and manage Dagster pipelines, enabling scalable data products in a Lakehouse/Data Mesh environment. You will collaborate with product, BI, and cloud engineering to support internal decision-making and client visibility, while driving data quality and performance across ingestion, modeling, and tests. You’ll work from Barcelona with a focus on delivering robust data platforms and evolving the data product stack.

- Architect and manage Dagster asset pipelines for batch and streaming workloads
- Define high standards for SQL transformations and data modelling across staging and mart
- Monitor, improve quality, reliability, and performance of data pipelines
- Integrate new data sources via ingestion pipelines (batch and streaming)
- Implement data tests,



CI/CD validations, and participate in peer reviews
- Contribute to data product development within a Data Mesh architecture
- Participate in agile rituals and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsabilidades

- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Strong expertise with SQL and dbt
- Solid understanding of data modelling (dimensional modelling, star schema, SCDs)
- Experience with big data tools (Trino, Spark)
- Familiarity with batch and streaming pipelines (Kafka)
- Experience writing data tests and Git xugodme workflows
- Python proficiency for scripting/ orchestration
- Experience in regulated environments (financial services a plus)
- Familiarity with Apache Iceberg or similar Lakehouse formats
- Experience with Dagster or asset-based orchestrators
- Fluent in English
- EU work authorisation is a plus
